Story: From Gupta to .NET and Web: Modernization Success at Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals
Comprehensive Application Modernization enhances hospital operations and patient care efficiency
fecher has successfully transitioned the 30-year-old Gupta application of Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals to the modern .NET platform, followed by a web enabling process. This modernization at the Turkish hospital group significantly improves access and performance of the Hospital Information System (HIS), which annually ensures the smooth processing of data for 70,000 inpatients and 250,000 outpatients.
The need to modernize was triggered by the reduced availability of Gupta programmers and the obsolescence of the existing platform. The newly web-enabled solution facilitates remote access for medical staff, allowing them to manage appointments and patient data from external locations and through mobile devices.
This extensive project involved converting half a million lines of code and has significantly advanced the digital transformation of Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals, setting the stage for further technological advancements.
